About the Role

Are you highly competent and capable, with a passion for ensuring safety and excellence? CERT is seeking a skilled Trainer & Assessor to join our Bellevue team on a casual basis.

 

This position is required to provide quality training and assessment services in the following areas:

  • Work Safely at Heights;
  • Confined Spaces; and
  • Fire and Protection Training

 

This role will report to the State Training Manager and collaborates closely with the Bellevue Team.

About You

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
  • RIIWHS202E: Enter and work in confined spaces.
  • RIIWHS204E: Work safely at heights.
  • CPPFES2005: Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment
  • A detailed understanding of industry training packages and associated qualifications and units of competency.
  • Experience in the delivery of training programs and professional development to persons engaged in the VET sector.
  • Must have knowledge of and ensure compliance to legislation and industry standards. These include;
    • National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act (2011).
    • VET Standards for RTO’s 2015 or most current.
    • Jurisdictional occupational health and safety and vocational industry-related acts and regulations as they relate to the program being delivered.
  • Demonstration of high-level interpersonal communication skills, clearly and effectively in both formal and practical environments.
  • Effective use of the Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications.
  • Training and assessment delivery applications.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and adopt new technologies to continuously improve processes and service delivery.
  • Ability to manage own work priorities and job requirements in a timely and effective manner, meeting and negotiating deadlines.
  • Ability to self-manage participation and work autonomously in professional development activities to increase skills, knowledge and capability to adhere to standards and guidelines.
