Production Planner
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our organisation as a Production Planner on a 6-month contract, based in Rockhampton, QLD. In the short term, this role will require travel to Gladstone, QLD to support operational needs. Following this initial period, the position will be based exclusively in Rockhampton.
This role will support dedicated wagon maintenance works. As part of the planning team, you will play a key role in developing, managing, and optimising work schedules to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of maintenance services. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new and exciting phase of growth for our business, while contributing to the success of a key maintenance facility in the region.
This role will report to the Service Delivery Manager and collaborate closely with operational staff.
Key Responsibilities of this role include:

Lead by example in the implementation and improvement of the workplace safety culture

Make regular contact with the customer and provide updates in a timely manner

Identify critical gaps in service capabilities and escalate appropriately

Creation and management of Work Orders

Management of project documentation & uploading to customer database

Analysing labour hours on jobsCompilation of costing to create Invoices to customers

Raise Purchase Requisitons for costs related to the job

Interpret & track parts usage on the job.
About You
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Strong technical and industry knowledge relevant to production planning and maintenance operations

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:

Trade qualification in a related field

Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

Ability to work efficiently and maintain accuracy under pressure
