About the Role
Gemco Rail are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Stores Person on a casual basis at our Gladstone site. In this hands-on role, you’ll support our Supply Chain Coordinator with a variety of warehouse operations including picking, packing, stocktaking, warehouse transfers, store setup, and general housekeeping tasks. This role will report to the Supply Chain Coordinator, QLD and collaborates closely with the Gladstone Team.
About You
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- 4+ years’ experience in Warehouse/production environment
- Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory and warehousing best practices
- Hold active Forklift License
- Able to multitask, prioritise and manage time efficiently.
- Team person that can work efficiently with the production and warehouse staff
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Understanding of the WHS requirements.
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are met.
- Physically fit to perform the stores tasks.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:
- Experience working in a production/maintenance environment managing stock levels and demand needs. Rail experience is highly regarded
- Previous experience with SAP.
- Qualifications in logistics or Supply Chain.
