Business Development Manager, WA/NT
About the Role
An opportunity has arisen at Drivetrain for a Business Development Manager – WA to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. Aligned with the Drivetrain core strategic business plans, the BDM will focus on new product, new market, new customers and new products into existing customers and markets resulting in growth of the core business areas of parts and service and establishment of capital equipment install base that creates parts and services growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing quotations, bids and budget estimates for spare parts, Axle and transmission sales, MRO projects and capital sales opportunities.
- Preparing service and maintenance proposals.
- Provide support in the development of product pricing relevant to the portfolio.
- Preparing life cycle maintenance cost estimates for capital equipment proposals, Axle and transmission components and spare parts proposals.
- Co-ordinate with relevant departments to provide value added solutions to customers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop, manage, execute and monitor all functions relating to strategic business development sales process for the assigned territory.
- Work collaboratively at all times with the branch network and key stakeholders assisting in the continued review and revision of our targeted value propositions and execute long cycle strategic sales plans, leading to long-term sustainable growth in revenue, profitability, and return on equity for shareholders.
About You
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Over 5 years sales experience in the off highway or mining industry with demonstrated business development skills in both Maintenance Repair and Overhaul or Capital Equipment sales.
- Advanced relationship development and management skills internally and externally.
- Sound technical knowledge of mining equipment and driveline componentry, supported by trade or engineering background.
- Sound knowledge of the Mining markets within Australia.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft office programs.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written English).
- Strong problem solving and demonstrated skills in project management.
- Excellent B to B long cycle business development, strategic selling and negotiation skills.
- Relevant education qualifications.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:
- Good understanding in Axle and transmission equipment maintenance.
- A network of contacts within Mining or other relevant industries.
- Bachelor degree or relevant trade qualifications.
